There are times when a loved one requires long term caregiving. There is also a desire to have that person stay safely at their home. But things happen such as a spouse no longer able to properly care for the loved one. What to do?

First we provide specialists who can arrive at your home to assess suitability of the setting. Our specialist can provide a frank assessment of your setting. It may be the case that the present home’s configuration doesn’t provide an ideal setting to care for the client. For example perhaps stairs are a problem. Our specialists have many years experience. They are able to make suggestions to make (sometimes minor) upgrades to your home setting. This enhances the chance of a successful caregiving experience. There are many subtle changes that are relatively low cost (compared to institutions) such as removing obstacles, cameras, bathroom fixtures, etc.

Second we provide generalists. There are agencies that provide distinct role players – such as a companion to read books to the client, play cards, etc. But another role is to bathe the client. Yet another involves cooking, errands, medicine reminders. That is far too many roles and far too many people for a proper solution.

By providing generalists (a single caregiver that assumes ALL the distinct roles) and enhanced technology (cloud communication with family for example) our generalists are able to observe the client throughout the day. This is a very valuable benefit making the caregiver, in effect, a behavior analyst more able to assess the physical and mental well being of the client than a revolving door of agency supplied folks who assume too-specific roles.

The culture we instill is akin to a ‘collaborative laboratory’ setting in one’s home. White glove inspections occur on a regular basis. The initial assessment regarding the suitability of morphing a home into a safe assisted living facility uses about one hundred checkable items of concern.
